Channels whose long-forms run a median of 60+ minutes are left out here (mostly compilation channels at high rates, plus original long-video channels at low rates: see the box below) (43 Roblox, 53 Minecraft, 57 GTA; see Several channels). Each active channel (an upload in the last 30 days, 30%+ of uploads in the niche) is placed by long-forms (over 3 minutes) posted in the last 90 days. Weekly views = the views of the long-forms it posted 7-37 days ago, scaled to a week, so every channel is measured at the same video age; a channel whose upload list does not reach back 37 days is left out of that column (deep histories of up to 200 uploads were pulled for Roblox and Minecraft channels at 0.5+ a day and for GTA channels that were at 1+ a day in their latest 50 uploads: 42 of 81 GTA channels now at 1+ a day). Groups under 5 channels are left off the chart.
Medians rise up to about one a day and then look flat in Roblox, but the busier groups are smaller channels; see the size-controlled result below.
Log weekly views on log upload rate and log subscribers, premise channels (95% bootstrap ranges):
| Doubling the upload rate goes with | Roblox | Minecraft | GTA |
|---|---|---|---|
| channels posting 1+ a week | +63% (+43% to +86%, 426 ch) | +22% (-3% to +48%, 142 ch) | +71% (+50% to +97%, 531 ch) |
| channels at 3.5+ a week | +55% (+23% to +100%, 220 ch) | -20% (-66% to +106%, 44 ch) | -3% (-41% to +53%, 154 ch) |
| channels at 1+ a day | +22% (-21% to +94%, 75 ch) | too few (10 ch) | -63% (-86% to +18%, 52 ch) |
The sample runs from about one long-form a week to about three a day; 60+ minute channels are not in it, and 15 of 67 GTA channels at one a day or more are missing because their upload lists in the data do not reach back 37 days. "Too few" = under 15 channels.

Read with care: every group is survivors (channels that already had a niche hit: a video over 50k views in the last year for Roblox/Minecraft, over 100k ever for GTA), and a cross-section cannot prove that posting more causes more views. "Views per long-form" mixes ages (see the age column); the weekly column does not.
Each channel compared only with itself: every long-form at least 7 days old is set against how many long-forms the same channel posted in the 7 days before it, controlling for the video's age (a channel fixed-effects regression). This answers "does this channel's video do worse in its busy weeks", which a pooled table cannot.
| Roblox | Minecraft | GTA | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Change in a video's views per extra long-form that week | +0.9% | -8.4% | +0.1% |
| Change per 7 extra long-forms (about one more a day) | +7% | -46% | +1% |
| Busier half of a channel's uploads vs its lighter half (median channel) | 0.98x (353 ch) | 0.90x (86 ch) | 0.99x (420 ch) |
| Channels and videos in the test | 631 ch, 47,208 videos | 330 ch, 16,456 videos | 972 ch, 36,577 videos |
| Busiest week observed (99th percentile / max long-forms in the 7 days before) | 25 / 76 | 14 / 17 | 20 / 63 |
Views vs the channel's own median, grouped by long-forms posted in the 7 days before. Each row is a different set of channels (row 0 is mostly quiet channels, row 15+ mostly two-a-day channels), so this table cannot show cannibalization on its own; the regression above can.

YouTube's own statements (sources under Rules): no limit on recommending several videos from one channel in a day; notifications are capped at 3 per channel per 24 hours (a 2020 statement).
132 groups of channels share a creator-style name in this data, but name matches also join strangers (Live Speedy is IShowSpeed, not Speedy; Dash Gaming is a My Little Pony channel), so only these 11 families, checked by hand from member lists, subscriber counts and top titles, are used. "Repeated titles" = the share of a channel's long-form titles that match a title on a sibling channel (word overlap of 70%+): high values mean re-posts.

The pattern: the main channel posts about one premise video a day or less with high views per video. Three kinds of extra channel add the volume: compilation channels re-post published videos as 1-3 hour cuts at 1-2 a day with far lower views each (they need a back catalog); second premise channels in the same game and language add new videos (DaniRep runs three GTA channels at 3.5 a day combined; Speedy two Roblox channels at 2.2 a day each); and second-game, second-language and clip channels. Each extra channel needs its own Partner Program approval. The single channels at four or more a day: Billion Plus (9.5 a day, 4.3M subs, 30k per video); CHALLS (7.3 a day, 562k subs, 3.0k per video); VBGAMING11 (5.7 a day, 4.3M subs, 16k per video); Video Game News (4.9 a day, 3.5M subs, 1.5k per video).
Every listed niche long-form of every active channel gets a lane. Only a few percent were in the agent-labeled set; the rest are labeled by the lane model (70% accurate on held-out agent labels), so read the mix as a direction, not a precise share. The two games move in opposite directions, so they are never pooled.
Share of each group's niche long-forms by lane family. under 1 a week: 12% agent-labeled, 1-3 a week: 7% agent-labeled, 4-6 a week: 5% agent-labeled, 1 a day: 5% agent-labeled, 2+ a day: 2% agent-labeled; the rest are the lane model's guesses (70% accurate).
Share of each group's niche long-forms by lane family. under 1 a week: 10% agent-labeled, 1-3 a week: 9% agent-labeled, 4-6 a week: 4% agent-labeled, 1 a day: 2% agent-labeled; the rest are the lane model's guesses (70% accurate).

32 long-forms: 30 from the highest-output channels (their rates run 0.5-1.4 a day; none from the 2+ a day farms) and 2 GTA myths comps. Scene cuts per minute over the whole video (hard visual changes, so fast gameplay camera moves count too: compare channels with each other), spoken words per minute from English captions, and a 12-frame sheet per video read by a vision agent.

For each Roblox breakout game, its long-forms in the sample are placed by weeks since the game's first uploads IN THIS SAMPLE (the 2nd-percentile upload date, not the game's release: Grow a Garden launched in March 2025, its week 0 here is May 2025). Early videos have a higher median than videos posted after week 8 in 6 of 6 games (4 by more than 15%); both sides are at least 60 days old, but the early ones are older, so part of the gap is age. Most views still arrive after week 8.
Views keep arriving for months; some games peak late.

Search surfaces winners on both sides, and early n is small (8-27 per game). Trend-game titles are only a small share of what volume channels post (see What they make), so this is a lesson about timing, not about where volume comes from.
The same tests on the 1,079 active GTA channels from the GTA research. 103 post about one long-form a day or more; by channel country: US 36, IN 18, BR 11, not set 11, ID 5, DE 5 (registered country, not audience). The list below keeps channels registered in an English-speaking country with at least half GTA uploads, English titles, no title template repeated across their top videos, no kid mod-story or superhero-mod top videos, and no compilation channels.
Caylus is a GTA channel (188 GTA videos in the GTA research; his Roblox channel is CaylusBlox). His "I Busted N Myths" run is 19 long-forms (2022: 14, 2023: 3, 2024: 1, 2026: 1), median 6.0M. 16 of them run 25 minutes or less; the most viewed runs 3.0 hours (73.4M) and the longest 4.7 hours. In 2022, its peak year, one came out every few weeks; since then a few a year. GTA 6-framed myths long-forms in the sample: 2 (Testing GTA 5 Myths Before GTA 6 440k; The Most Disturbing Leaked GTA 6 Myths & Legends 7.1k).

29,392 top comments on 254 videos (the most viewed long-forms and Shorts per lane, so mostly hits; only 4 come from channels posting one a day or more), read by four mining agents. Every quote is verbatim with its real like count, checked against the raw comments. In English: 95 comments ask for a part 2, the next episode or more uploads (65,894 likes) and 2 ask for daily uploads in so many words. Viewers ask for more of a specific video, not for more videos.
These viewers reward people over premise: a host who actually plays, a recurring crew with arcs, and a result they can argue about in the comments. Length is welcome when density holds (30-minute Grox, two-hour Evbo) and the only frequency complaint is about gaps, never volume, but the daily-habit comfort comments come from kid channels. A new face-cam GTA 6 creator should be on screen the whole time, reuse 3-4 recurring faces, build every episode around a verdict viewers can dispute, and treat any announced series as a promise. Planted comment-bait works ('Mario Mug', 56 comments, MUw5Xa7CWmo).
This audience rewards a recurring cast with a fixed comic dynamic, visible effort, and each drop feeling like an event. Nobody in 2,057 comments asks for more volume; the loudest 'when is it back' demand is for series and games already promised. A new face-cam GTA 6 creator should treat multi-per-day cadence as unsupported by this evidence: build a repeating character or duo, answer sequel and next-game votes (GTA V next-episode votes drew 10,114 likes on one comment), keep claims honest (a fake 'chapter 3' Short was called out by about 15 commenters), and let the comments act as a tips and correction layer.
These audiences reward finished, voiced stories with recurring characters and episode-to-episode lore (Verity, Alan Becker, Walden Academy), a recognisable performer whose pain or running gags viewers quote back (Mart, Flame, Folix), and being first on a drop (swizu, Blox Fruits trailers); old 2016-2021 uploads are re-watched as childhood. Cadence is lane-dependent: slow is forgiven when every minute is dense (Buur, 'If the next video took a year I don’t think anyone would care'), but the one daily-habit lane (Techno Gamerz GTA 5/Minecraft, mostly Indian students) expects numbered daily episodes, with 'face reveal', 'setup tour' and 'vlog' asked of faceless creators; two videos in one day was cheered, and fake-real scripting is called out unless framed as a movie. A new face-cam GTA 6 channel should lead with voice and personality, number every episode, add chapters, post fast on news, build callbacks and a cast, and skip brainrot trend-chasing and like-begging.
Tests are a character show (cast, mascot, puns, details to rewatch) and 30-45 minute runtimes are never criticised (zero 'too long' or 'boring' in 1,614 comments), but in 5 ProBoiz test videos 33% of the top comments (27% of likes) mention or beg for the abandoned story series, so tests earn reach and a series earns loyalty. Lore and build viewers police honesty and accuracy: staged 'real/uncut' claims and mislabelled 'simple/survival' titles get the top replies, while disclosed scripting is accepted. A new face-cam GTA channel should run a recurring character, show proof for every myth verdict, never fake a result, end with a part-2 hook and treat the unrevealed face or voice as a retention asset (11 face-reveal begs, 2,632 likes); frequency evidence is thin but positive (a daily uploader is praised, fast uploads get early-viewer rituals), so volume is safe only if every myth is fact-checked.
13,744 videos labeled by sub-agents. "Search median" = long-forms from the last 12 months that surface in search (flatters every lane); "typical upload" = the flop-inclusive sample (36,891 recent uploads from 1,871 channels' upload lists, livestreams excluded, 93% labeled by the lane model at 70% accuracy).
